HEALTH KITS, LAYETTE KITS, IMA MEDICINE BOXES
If you, your small group, or committee would like to assemble kits to send to Haiti , please follow these instructions, and please only assemble COMPLETE kits as directed:
CRISIS KITS SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF AT THE "CHURCH WORLD SERVICE" OFFICES AT EDEN SEMINARY IN WEBSTER GROVES . Please contact Kari Davidson at 314-252-3298 to set-up a time to drop off your kits.
Health Kits are approximately $10 and include the following supplies sealed in a Ziploc-style bag:
1 hand towel (16" x 28"), 1 nail clipper, 1 washcloth, 1 toothbrush in original packaging (no multi-packs please), 1 wide-tooth comb, 1 bar of soap (bath size, in wrapper), and 6 Band-Aids. Toothpaste will be added by Church World Service.
Layette Kits are approximately $40. The following supplies should be bundled in a receiving blanket and secured with diaper pins:
6 cloth diapers, 2 diaper pins, 2 t-shirts or undershirts (no onesies), 2 washcloths,
2 gowns or sleepers, 1 sweater or sweatshirt, and 2 receiving blankets (1 can be a knitted blanket).
IMA Medicine Boxes are approximately $85 and include:
500 tablets or more Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 325 mg or 500 mg, 500 tablets or more Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) 200 mg, 500 tablets or more Multivitamins with iron (One-A-Day) without herbs or special formulas, 500 tablets or more Children's Multivitamins with Iron (Flintstones Chewables with Iron), 6 tubes or more Triple antibiotic ointment (Neosporin) 1/2 oz. or 1 oz. tube, 50 pads or more 4x4 inch gauze pads (any brand), and 2 rolls or more of 1/2- inch adhesive tape (any brand). Products should be new, have unbroken seals, and have expiration dates of 18 months (April 2012) or longer. Generic products are welcome! Place all items in a box and label "IMA Medicine BOX". |
