Church Staff

Rev. Michael S. McIntyre, Lead Pastor -  mmcintyre@livingwordumc.org 
Michael was appointed to Living Word in June of 1998. He was born in Chicago, moved to St. Louis as he began junior high school, and graduated from Parkway North High School in 1981. In 1985, Michael graduated from Northeast Missouri State University with a degree in History. He attended Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL for two years and graduated from Eden Theological Seminary. Before coming to Ellisville, Michael was a student pastor in Chicago and St. Louis, the Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church of St. Charles and the pastor of Arch Street United Methodist Church in Hannibal, Missouri. His main interests are his wife Susan, sons Matthew and Sean, baseball (GO CARDINALS!) reading, and travel.

Rev. Greg Finfrock, Associate Pastor - gfinfrock@livingwordumc.org
Greg was born and raised in Martinsburg, West Virginia, graduating from Martinsburg High School in 1979. He received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia in 1983, and worked as an aerodynamicist for 23 years before entering full-time ministry. He became a member of Living Word in 1991, and in 2003 began responding to God’s call to professional ministry by enrolling at Asbury Theological Seminary, earning his Masters of Divinity degree in May 2010. He began fulltime ministry as Living Word’s Adult Ministries Director in September of 2006, before becoming Executive Director of Age Level Ministries in September of 2007.  In June 2010, Greg was commissioned a provisional elder of the United Methodist Church, and appointed as Associate Pastor of Living Word.  He and his wife Karen have two daughters, Celia and Hannah.

Brenda Stobbe, Associate Pastor and Director of Children's Ministries - bstobbe@livingwordumc.org
Brenda is a Deacon in Full Connection in the United Methodist Church. Following a Bachelor’s degree in music education, she attended Eden Theological Seminary here in St. Louis, graduating with a double major in Christian Education and Old Testament studies. Brenda is an Iowa native with a passion for ministry to and with children and their families.  She is a curriculum writer, storyteller and baker of all things chocolate. Yoga, reading, keeping track of the St. Louis Cardinals, gardening and her family fill her free time.

Kelly Vincent, Executive Dir. of Communications - kvincent@livingwordumc.org 
Kelly grew up in Portage, Indiana and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University Bloomington in 1987. She spent 8 years in pharmaceutical sales (Chicago; Indianapolis; Huntington, W.V.) before moving to St. Louis. Kelly and her family have been members of Living Word since 1996. She has served in a variety of ministries, including Sunday School, Children’s Ministries, and Hospitality. She also enjoys the iServe mission group, going on mission trips and serving on the Connections (New Member), Leadership and Communications ministry teams. Her main interests include her husband, Matt, children – Lauren and Brian, exercising at the gym, walking her dogs (Amelia and Phoebe), traveling, volunteering for the Rockwood School District and scrap booking. Kelly served as Living Word’s Volunteer Ministries Director for seven years before becoming Director of Communications.

Adam Mustoe, Assistant Pastor of Youth Ministries - amustoe@livingwordumc.org
Adam has been part of the staff since 2005.  He married Sarah, the love of his life in 2008.  Together they enjoy spending time with their cocker spaniel Bernard, riding bikes, eating at El Maguey and watching Netflix.  He loves reading, cycling, NFL football, and gaming.  As director of Youth Ministries the highlights of his life are seeing 6-12 graders know the Lord, working with students at Epworth Children's home, and taking students on mission trips both domestically and in the Dominican Republic.

Roy Adams, Building and Grounds - radams@livingwordumc.org
Roy has lived in the St. Louis area in Valley Park for over 50 years. He is retired from General Motors where he was employed as an assembler for 22 years. He has also worked as a custodian for Salem in Ladue UMC. He is married to his wife, Reda and has one adult son. He enjoys spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), fishing, camping, hunting and woodworking.

Beth Balzraine, Executive Administrative Assistant - bbalzraine@livingwordumc.org
Originally from Little Rock, AR, Beth has lived in Louisiana, Texas and Missouri.  She graduated from Kickapoo High School and Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.  She and her husband, John, have lived in Wildwood since 1999 and have been members of Living Word UMC for 11 years.  They have 2 children, Elise and Brett.  With over 25 years experience in finance, accounting and administrative positions, Beth is excited to become a part of the staff at Living Word. She has been involved in many volunteer activities at Living Word. She enjoys fitness, Pilates, outdoor activities and singing with the Worship choir. 

Cindy Brown, Office Manager- cbrown@livingwordumc.org
Cindy has provided administrative support for Age Level Ministries for over 3 ½ years.  She assists Associate Pastor, Greg Finfrock, along with Adam Mustoe, Director of Youth Ministries.  She is also the Office Coordinator.  Cindy was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, but moved to the St. Louis area in 1990. Being a single mom since 1999, her children are her pride and joy. Kristin and son-in-law, James, work as nurses and live in Troy, MO.  Katie (age 21) and Jonnie (age 18) attend college at Missouri Baptist University.  Her interests include singing and playing music, cooking and spending time with her family.

Nancy Classen, Organist
Nancy is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and joined the staff of Living Word in January of 2000. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and her Master of Music from Webster University. Before her Living Word appointment, Nancy served as organist for the Evangelical Redeemer United Church of Christ in south St. Louis. Aside from her Living Word engagement, Nancy is a freelance oboist and private instructor. In her spare time she enjoys fitness and the arts.

Kim Cox, Director of Finance- kcox@livingwordumc.org  
Kim was born and raised in St. Louis. Before joining the staff of Living Word, Kim was a stay-at-home mom raising her 3 children, Adam, Emily, and Alison. She worked outside of the home part-time doing various administrative jobs for her father’s company and Chesterfield Hockey Association. Kim and her family have been members of Living Word for 13 years and have been involved in many aspects of the church. Kim enjoys sewing, interior decorating, gardening, and spending time with her kids. Kim is very excited about this new position and being part of the Living Word staff family! 


Jenny D'Errico, Receptionist - jderrico@livingwordumc.org  
Jenny joined the staff of Living Word as a part-time assistant in March 2006. Before that, she spent 12 years as a stay-at-home mom, enjoying her two sons, Nick and Michael, and volunteering at their schools and our church. During her earlier career days, Jenny worked in residential property management in both Tampa and Orlando, Florida. Tony and she were married in Orlando in 1989 and made St. Louis their home in November of 1999. Jenny enjoys spending time with her family, participating in Bible studies, volunteering at church and in the community, reading and playing tennis.  She feels extremely blessed to have a loving family, an awesome church home, and great neighbors & friends.

Amy Johnston, Director of Early Childhood Center - ajohnston@livingwordumc.org 
Amy grew up in Vandalia, Illinois and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Illinois Wesleyan University.  She taught remedial reading for 10 years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom.  Amy and her husband Jeff, have 3 children Aubrey, Colin and Halle. They have been members of Living Word since 2004.  Amy has been involved in numerous Living Word ministries-including VBS, Sunday School, Children’s Ministry Team, Beth Moore Bible study and served as chair of the ECC Board of Directors. Her main interests are hiking and snow skiing with her family, gardening, volunteering at her children’s schools and watching her children participate in all their activities.  She is thrilled to be the Director of ECC.

Michael Logsdon, Director of Multimedia Ministries - mlogsdon@livingwordumc.orgMichael joined the staff in January of 2008.  Michael was born in Litchfield, Illinois and earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Mass Communications at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  Michael found his way to Living Word after spending some time living in Nashville, Tennessee.  Michael enjoys spending his time with his wife, Susan, writing music, playing music, listening to music, and talking about nerdy stuff.

Susan Logsdon, Administrative Assistant to Communications, Children, and Adults - slogsdon@livingwordumc.org
Susan is originally from Apopka, Florida. After graduating from high school she headed to the small town of Greenville, Illinois to attend college. She graduated from Greenville College in 2009 with a degree in Psychology and Religion. Susan married Michael Logsdon in July 2009 and they are currently living in Eureka, Missouri. Susan has a passion for music. She is a singer/songwriter and is currently working on her first album with her husband. When she is not playing music, she enjoys creating things, decorating her house, baking yummy things in her kitchen, graphic design, and playing Wii with her husband (she beats him at bowling every time!)

Holly McKee, Accompanist
Holly has lived her entire life in the St. Louis area, and is currently living in Fenton with her husband Jeff and daughter, Amanda. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music with an emphasis in Piano in 1989 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has accompanied soloists, ensembles, choirs and instrumentalists during her career.  Prior to coming to Living Word, she served as a church pianist and accompanist at the First Baptist Church of Fenton. She currently sings with the St. Louis Harmony Chorus, a 75-voice a cappella women’s chorus that rehearses weekly in Bridgeton .  Her hobbies include reading (mysteries are her favorite!), walking, and playing video games with her daughter.

Wendy Sain, Pastoral Care Director - wsain@livingwordumc.org 
Wendy was born in Utica , New York and grew up in Daytona Beach , Florida where she graduated from Mainland Senior High School. Wendy is a certified candidate for ordination in the United Methodist Church, on the Deacon track .  She has completed over 300 hours of training as a Lay Pastor, Stephen Leader and Minister; is trained in Couples Communication through Interpersonal Communication programs; and has completed over 400 hours as a Graduate Counseling Intern.  She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACC), AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors) and a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society of Social Sciences.  She graduated from Maryville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center.  She will complete her Professional Counseling Masters Degree from Missouri Baptist University in May of 2012 and is also attending Eden Theological Seminary.  Wendy has four children, Amanda, Michelle, Melissa and Matthew.  In her spare time she enjoys counted cross stitch, crocheting, reading, Cardinals Baseball, Blues hockey, Dallas football and time spent with her children.  Wendy has been part of our staff since 1995.

Chris Shank, Director of Adult and Small Group Ministries - cshank@livingwordumc.org
Chris Shank joined the Living Word staff as Director of Adult Ministries in June 2008. He is married to Jen, and they have two children: Cesilia Autumn and Oliver George. Chris was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He met and married his wife in 1999 while at Taylor University in Ft. Wayne , IN and graduated in 2001 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice.  Soon after, while in the field of social work, he and his family felt the call to go into ministry. Chris graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2006 with a M.A. in Christian Education, and moved to St. Louis. He enjoys reading (philosophy, poetry, classic fiction…George MacDonald!), frisbee golf, riding his bike, art, and playing outside with his family.

Jessica Smithson, Early Childhood Center Administrative Assistant - jsmithson@livingwordumc.org
Jessica grew up in Mississippi and Tennessee and moved to the St. Louis area in 1999. Her family joined Living Word in 2000. Her husband, Jeff, works for Follett Higher Education Group at Webster University . They have three children: Ryan, Reagan and Reid. Jessica joined the staff of Living Word ECC in July 2006. If she had free time she would enjoy reading and scrapbooking!!
