April 26 “In the midst of a busy life…there is hope!”
Proverbs 15:13-25
Are we really "too blessed to be stressed,” or do you find that in the very midst of your hectic daily schedule that there is simply not enough hours in the day to accomplish all that you must get done, turning your blessing into a burden? God has already provided the remedy for our stresses, and when we seek His will, we find that in the very midst of a busy life there is hope!

May 3 “In spite of addiction…there is hope!”
Luke 4:14-21

The very reason Jesus came, is to bring ‘freedom to the prisoners’ (Luke 4:18). Addictions are a powerful force that hold God’s people in bondage, but we can come boldly to God knowing that He promises His help. There are ways to appropriate God's power in your life, to draw upon Christ's power and strength. If we allow Him to do so, Jesus will help us through the fear, guilt and shame of addiction to a place of wholeness and recovery.

May 10 “In a dark world…there is hope!”
Matthew 28:16-20

Bill Hybels calls the church the one great hope for Planet Earth. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to be instruments of change for God, we are to embody that hope for the world.  That is the vision that God has given to us. We need to pursue this vision to the best of our ability, to bring as much of it to fruition as we can---so when we pass the reigns to the next generation, we will be much further along. Our work is not done, cannot be done until the Great Commission is accomplished, which means until every human being on planet earth knows Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

May 17 “In a tough economy…there is hope!”
1 Timothy 6:6-18
The Bible says: "Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil." (Proverbs 15:16)  It’s true!  It is far better to be in poverty with the fear of God than it is to be wealthy without Him. With Jesus in your life, it doesn’t really matter what the market does. God doesn’t need Wall Street’s help to take care of you. God is bigger than the Dow Jones. He’s mightier than the Blue Chip. And He will meet your needs in Christ regardless of what the economy does.

May 24 “In the face of death…there is hope!”
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Life is full of heartaches. Grief can be a devastating experience.  Some of us still feel the sting of the death of a loved one decades later…the pain may be hardly diminished by the passing of time.  Sometimes anger and grief threaten to overwhelm us.  Trying to keep our emotions under control can take enormous energy.  John promises that God will reach out His divine hand and wipe the tears from our eyes. What peace that gives us to know that in life after death, our loved ones have already been healed of their emotional hurts.  Eternity with God is an experience of true fellowship, of the joyous presence of God, of the healing of body and soul, and of reconciliation with the rest of God’s creation.
